A new Element Brand Hotel by Westin is coming to Basalt, Colorado, harbored within the resort towns of Aspen and Snowmass. Coming second to Denver, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. serves as the owner, operator, and franchisor of multiple other world-renowned hotels and resorts such as St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, Westin, La Meridien, Sheraton, and Four Points. The operation is a joint venture on behalf of Silverwest Hotel Partners, a Denver-based hotel investment company, and Mariner Real Estate Management, a Kansas City-based real estate private equity firm. Element in Basalt will be held to the standards all of Starwood Hotels and Resorts are subject to, including mandating that “all properties pursue U.S. Green Building Council’s leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for high-performance buildings”.
Set to open in August 2015, the smart, sustainable lodging can appeal to a wide range of tastes to provide exceptional extended hotel stay experiences. Efficiently built light-filled studios as well as one-bedroom suites set the hotel apart from the rest with fluid, modular designs. The rooms feature swivel flat-screen televisions, professional desks, custom closets, and convenient kitchens. To have a relaxing stay, guests can rest well on the Heavenly beds and take a relaxing bath in the spa-inspired washrooms equipped with rain showers. Complimentary for all guests to utilize are the 24-hour fitness center, pool, outdoor hot tub, and complimentary bikes to borrow. Each morning guests can wake up feeling not only refreshed but also pampered with RISE breakfasts, evening receptions, and access to bar carts after hours.
Element will be located in Willis Town Center in Basalt, within walking distance of shops, the market, White River National Forest as well as rivers and a luxury golf course. The hotel’s many amenities are convenient and easy so that, whether you’re skiing on the mountain or hiking in the valley, you still will have 24-hour accessible services, easy access to downtown attractions, and a vivacious, environmental touch waiting for you upon your return.
“Basalt and the Roaring Fork Valley have needed a boutique hotel like this for some time,” says Erik Berg, real estate broker at Portfolio Aspen Properties. “This hotel will create even more activity in the mid-Valley Willits center, and hopefully we will see an increase in real estate values from it as well.”
